Moroccan style area rugs have enjoyed a rise in popularity over the past few years and it doesn’t look like they’re done adding statement making impact to your home décor yet.  Their tones range from bright to neutral, and their patterns can be either distinct or free form.  Because of their endless variety, Moroccan style area rugs work well in many settings, including elegant contemporary interiors, to relaxed, eclectic spaces.  With a rich history dating back thousands of years, Moroccan style rugs have been gracing homes with their cozy appeal for so long, we think it’s safe to say they’ll never go out of style.

Here are 5 Moroccan style area rugs you are sure to love from the new MODERN MOROCCAN collection at AZADI Fine Rugs.

This vintage Moroccan runner (below) will add a punch of color and fun to any space.  It’s measurements, 4’6 x 13’5, make it perfectly suited for a wide hallway, a kitchen, or even a laundry room.  Imagine it in a mid-century modern home, paired with an eclectic art collection.

Another colorful option, this rug (below) in 8’9 x 11’8, provides enough size to use in a bedroom or in a dining room. It’s bold motif and modern black and natural background, and bright splashes of color make it ideal for a playroom, or a nursery.

If it’s a neutral feel you’re looking for, this natural/chocolate brown rug (below), with its organic tree-of-life pattern is perfect to add interest in perhaps an all-white bathroom or eat-in kitchen.

Here is another neutral option (below), however this rug offers a contemporary twist.  Using traditional Moroccan coloring and weaving technique but with a bold modern block pattern. With its elegant simplicity this rug could fit in anywhere.

Finally, this last piece, with a free form, raised pile pattern, is a contemporary look that lends itself to a rustic setting.  Think a Modern Moroccan ski chalet, or a modern Farmhouse family room.
